Six Days Left

Hi… guys. The last time I appeared was on the last day of July — I know, I know. It’s been a while… or maybe a little too long for everyone to remember who I am? Let me explain why I disappeared for the whole of August and half of September. Also: only six days left — less than a week — until I leave this place.

First of all, your girl is finally an Advanced Open Water diver! It’s not officially certified yet, but it’s already 90% confirmed — the remaining 10% is because my instructor still owes me a night boat dive. Lately I’ve been going out diving a lot because I need to assist the divemasters. Normally we do two dives in the morning and one in the afternoon, and sometimes we add a night dive on top of that. After three or four dives a day, we’re all completely exhausted and starving. The only two things we want to do after diving are eat and sleep — I didn’t even have the energy to open my laptop. These are my defenses, and I’m not guilty of them.

The next time I open my laptop I won’t be on this island anymore. It’s going to be hard to say goodbye to people I’ve lived with 24/7, but I guess that’s life — we say goodbye all the time and never really know when we’ll meet again. I know I will miss everyone very much. They made up a big part of the most precious memories I’ll take with me.
