Too Comfortable to Function

3 more days until I fly back to Johor again... Why does comfy time always zoom by like it's in a rush to leave me? I've gotten a bit too comfortable at home—so much so that I'm starting to feel like full-time chilling could be a career. Honestly, being unemployed for almost a month now, I’m kinda shocked I haven’t had even the slightest whiff of anxiety yet.
Maybe it's still too early? Or maybe I’ll only start panicking after another few months of binge-watching and overthinking life? Who knows.

That said, watching other people go to work while I lounge in my pajamas does make me feel... slightly distant from society. Like I’m living in a parallel universe where responsibilities are optional.
But then again, seeing others stressed while I sip my tea at home? It feels like I won the lottery. #blessed

Whenever I briefly consider going back to work, my brain kindly reminds me of all the drama I went through—the chaos, the stress, the unsolvable problems that multiplied faster than my to-do list.
And then I think, Ah yes, maybe funemployment isn’t so bad after all.

Anyway, back to today’s episode: I had a dentist appointment at Sarawak General Hospital. It was set for 9:00 AM, and impressively, I woke up at 6:30 AM, got dressed… and promptly fell back asleep. Classic.
Woke up again at 8:05 AM and immediately entered Usain Bolt mode. Thanks to Kuching's new hobby (being a traffic jam), it took me 45 minutes to get there. But luck was on my side—I found a parking spot faster than I usually find matching socks.

At the hospital, I was told to head straight to the Dentist Department at Tingkat 1, Pintu J (fancy talk for first floor, Door J). The waiting room was packed, so I mentally prepared myself for a half-day dental marathon.
Handed over my referral letter, sat down, and surprisingly got called in after just 30 minutes! They wanted to do an X-ray, but I told them I’d already had one done at a private clinic (saving everyone some radiation and time).

Five minutes later, I was called in again for the actual check-up. I asked if I could schedule my surgery in October since—as you know—I’ll be off gallivanting until the end of September.
The doctor was super friendly and said she’d try to arrange it. I was called in a third time (we’re basically friends now), and they handed me an appointment card—surgery officially scheduled for 6/10/2025. Perfect!

Now I wait for that day to come…
Until then, I shall continue living my best life.
