Another First
Why does Thursday always feel like Friday? You’re walking around, thinking the week is practically over, but nope—plot twist! There’s still one more day of work. Every Thursday, I get this false sense of freedom because, let’s be real, on Fridays, nobody is in the mood to work. People are just floating around, chatting, "pretending" to be busy, then—bam!—it's lunchtime. After that, maybe a two-hour meeting (where half the room is mentally checked out), send a couple of emails, and suddenly, it’s 5:30 PM. Freedom achieved.
Not that I’m complaining. Honestly, it’s kind of beautiful—everyone united by the same goal: escaping the office ASAP.
Anyway, I went out for dinner with my university friends, XT and JP. That’s also why I’m writing this blog post so late—I only got home at 10:40 PM. We went to this Korean BBQ place called Flower Pig 360 (꽃돼지) in Tanjong Pagar. And let me tell you, the pork? Chef’s kiss. The moment the waitress pulled out a thermometer to check the pan temperature, I knew we were about to experience some next-level BBQ. And I was right. The meat was juicy, the side dishes were unlimited, and we ate until we could barely move.

Total damage? 61 SGD per person. Honestly, pretty worth it. Bonus perk: we each got to redeem a free Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
And here’s a fun fact: this was my first time eating Häagen-Dazs. The verdict? It tasted like… normal ice cream. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but I guess I was expecting some kind of life-changing experience. I had the cookies and cream flavor, and it was just… cookies and cream. But hey, it was free, so who am I to complain?
