Zoos?

Nothing much to update today because I basically stayed in bed until lunchtime and ordered food from my favorite Chinese restaurant. When the food arrived, I finally woke up—mentally, at least—ate my meal, and then, like clockwork, food coma hit. Back to bed I went until about 3 PM… I think? Lost track of time. Scrolled through my phone, blinked, and suddenly it was almost 5 PM. Ah, how time flies when you're doing absolutely nothing.

Then came dinner, meds, and a quick shower—because, you know, gotta maintain some level of hygiene. Just a minute ago, I was watching Your Place or Mine, but somewhere in the middle, my brain decided, “Yeah, this ain’t it,” so I quit. Maybe I’ll continue tomorrow. Maybe I won’t. Who knows? Anyway, here I am, writing this blog post.

A very productive Sunday, I’d say. Hehe.

Old me would’ve felt regretful and guilty for doing nothing. Current me? Just vibing and appreciating the alone time. I guess this is what aging feels like.

Fun fact: A friend of mine just asked if I’d be interested in going to the zoo. The last time I went to one was a few years ago in Taiping, Perak, at the Taiping Zoo & Night Safari. Since it was nighttime, I barely saw any animals—basically just a lot of darkness and the occasional shadow of what might have been an elephant… or a strategically placed rock.

Before that, I visited the Lost World Petting Zoo, also in Perak. That was actually my first-ever zoo experience, but since it was just a small petting zoo, the number of animals was, well… limited. Unfortunately, my memories of that place are overshadowed by the fact that my family got food poisoning after playing at the Lost World of Tambun water park. We probably swallowed some of the water—big mistake. Huge. Absolute disaster. 0/10, would not recommend.

Anyway, my friend brought up the zoo idea because there’s currently a 50% discount on admission tickets. (Who can resist a good deal, right?) We have two options: Singapore Zoo or River Wonders. In the end, we’ll probably go with River Wonders because it has an aquarium and pandas!

aquarium!

I’ve never seen a panda in real life, so this could be a very exciting experience. Fingers crossed they don’t just sleep the whole time.
