Pan Mee Nightmare

It’s finally Friday! I’ve been dreaming of pan mee for dinner since last week. It all started when I saw this boy happily eating a bowl of pan mee at FairPrice Hub while I was just there to buy something boring. It looked so good, and I thought to myself, That’s it—I need to eat that pan mee.

Fast forward to today, I finally made it happen! Had it for dinner just now. But… oh no, it was so bad! Honestly, I didn’t think it was possible to mess up pan mee this much. Guess the dream was better than reality this time. I was so disappointed...

Looks nice, right? Well, looks can be deceiving. The noodles were so tough to chew that I seriously thought I was eating chewing gum—no joke! And get this, it was supposed to be dumpling pan mee, but they only gave me three dumplings. Three! The filling? A bizarre combo of a tiny bit of minced pork, way too much carrot, and an overwhelming amount of spring onion. I felt like I was eating a salad. I actually have a food ranking list in my heart, and for the pan mee category, this stall is definitely not making it into the top 10!

Anyways, I’m heading to JB tonight, so fingers crossed for some actually good food there! Singapore, you’ve really made me a picky eater. I used to be easygoing about food, but y’all... the food here is just... meh. The only reliable option? Fast food, hahaha
