Please be healthy!

Early in the morning, my sister told me she was at the vet clinic. The moment I found out where she was, I immediately knew that my baby dog was sick. She told me he had come running back into the house with his nose bleeding. She was so scared that she rushed him to the clinic. They did a blood test and an X-ray for him. The blood test came back normal, but we received some bad news from the X-ray.

They discovered that his heart is genetically larger than a normal poodle's heart. Whenever he gets excited, his heart pumps faster and enlarges, which reduces his lung capacity. This explains why he always gets extremely tired and out of breath after exercising or running.

I feel so stupid for not bringing him in for a checkup sooner. He’s already 5 years old, and we’re only learning about his condition now. My poor baby... I just want to give him a big hug and tell him I’m sorry for being such an irresponsible owner. But I’m in Singapore now, and he’s back in my hometown.

I think this is the struggle of working abroad in a different country...

Whenever I feel anxious, I open my Bible and turn to a section called 'HELP FROM THE BIBLE.' It never fails to provide the comfort and guidance I need in those moments.

Today, I learned from Psalm 145:9, which says: "The LORD is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made."

We also know from Genesis 1:25 that all animals were created by God: "God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."

O LORD, it is such a blessing to have one of Your creatures, who brings so much love and joy into our lives. He is a cherished member of our family, and we all love him deeply. Today, I come before You with a sincere heart, humbly seeking Your mercy and compassion for my baby. I humbly ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Please guide us and show us what we should do next to improve his condition.

In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

My baby boy, I love you so much, please be healthy.

Side note: After hearing this news, I bought a flight ticket back to my hometown almost immediately, without a second thought. I’ll fly back on Friday night and return on Sunday night. I'll see you soon!
