Little Luxuries

I went out for dinner with my friend after training today, and guess what? I finally had some real food after three days of "juice-only" dinners! I had wontons—10 of them, to be exact—with pork filling. For anyone wondering, wontons are like dumplings but with thinner, delicate skin. Oh, and I’ve realized something: once you get used to eating less, your stomach adjusts, and suddenly, even a small amount of food feels super filling. When I was younger (not that I’m old now, okay?), probably in my early 20s, I had this rule at buffet dinners: I had to eat enough to make my money's worth! I could eat non-stop, especially if there was pork belly—it’s just too damn good.

Now that I’m in my mid-20s, I have to admit—my metabolism isn’t as fired up as it used to be. I can’t eat as much anymore; I get full so easily! And if I overdo it, I feel so uncomfortable, to the point where I have to stand around for 30 minutes just to feel normal again. Ah, the joys of growing up...

Oh, by the way, I met up with my friend because I needed to grab something from her. Fun fact: her house is my go-to place whenever I’m in JB! It’s also my unofficial Shopee delivery hub. You’re probably wondering, “Why not just send it to your rented house?” Well, here’s the thing—items on Shopee Singapore can sometimes be way pricier than Shopee Malaysia. So, to save some cash, I just ship to her place instead. Plus, there are times when the stuff I want isn’t even available on Shopee Singapore. So, no choice but to send it to her house again. Her place is basically my mini post office at this point.

I recently bought a 20ml bottle of Chanel’s 1957 perfume from a Shopee seller who divides it into smaller sizes. And let me tell you—I’m absolutely in love with this scent! I even sprayed some on my blanket to make sure I sleep like a queen.

I also have Chanel Gabrielle Essence, which smells amazing too, but it’s sweeter compared to 1957. Now, I’ve set my sights on the 200ml bottle of 1957 because, honestly, from the moment I first smelled it, I knew I had to have it. At this rate, I’m definitely a Chanel girl through and through.
