Cai Fan Every Day
A few minutes before I started writing this, I was scrolling through my Instagram, reminiscing over my glorious food highlight reel from my time in Singapore. By the way, fun fact: I have two Instagram accounts. One is for friends, where I barely post anything—just the occasional story when I feel alive. The other one is for family and for following celebrities (a.k.a. my digital comfort zone), and that’s where I post whatever I want, judgment-free.

Now, here's the real shocker: I’ve somehow survived on Singapore cai fan—a.k.a. mixed rice—for the entire time I’ve been here. I don’t know how I did it either. My friend XT, who’s only been in Singapore for three months, is already over it. She looked at one more plate of cai fan and said, “Nope, I’m out.”
What’s funny is—I consider myself pretty picky. Like, “no-soggy-bread-no-weird-textures” picky. But even when the food isn’t great, I’ll still finish it. Because wasting food? Tragic. Plus, there aren’t many things I won’t eat, so I’m basically a walking vacuum cleaner with preferences.
Anyway, just one more day until I officially start my holiday on Thursday and I. Can’t. Wait. I'm currently so sleepy, I might just faceplant into my pillow mid-sentence.
Goodnight, y’all. May your dreams be as delicious as my cai fan memories.
