5 Minutes with Dyson

Today was the day—I actually presented to visitors from Dyson during their plant tour. It was originally scheduled for 2:45 PM, but in true plot-twist fashion, it got delayed until 3:30 PM. SS, the person in charge (and keeper of time), told us each department only had 10 minutes. I’m proud to report: I nailed it in five. Efficient queen vibes.

There were around 30 people, and I’m pretty sure they were from Dyson Malaysia. Why? Because the way they talked—the friendliness, the effortless small talk, the “lah” vibes—it screamed "we're Malaysian!" It instantly warmed my heart. I miss that chill, relaxed environment where people somehow balance work and life without losing their minds. Unlike here in Singapore, where “work-life balance” feels like a mythical creature.

Anyway, just 20 more days before I leave Singapore and go on with my life (cue dramatic movie music). I'm going to cherish the remaining time here... even if my wallet cries every time I buy teh peng.

Lately, I've been craving some Sarawak food and thought, why not see if Singapore can do it right? Spoiler: many places claim to be "authentic"—but let me tell you about that one time in JB I got catfished by a bowl of Sarawak laksa.
It. Was. Sweet.
I took one sip and my brain went, “Please save me from this culinary crime!” But I didn’t want to waste food (and I’m too polite to make a scene), so I ate the whole bowl—in misery. That was the saddest spoon journey of my life.

So now, I don't trust the word authentic unless I've done a full investigation worthy of a Netflix docuseries. Stay tuned for my review of Sarawak laksa in Singapore. Let's see who survives and who gets exposed.
