Dental Adventures

Hi guys! After vanishing for a solid 24 hours like a mysterious side character in a K-drama, I am finally back—and reporting live from my hometown, Kuching!

I landed yesterday around 5 PM, and let me just say: it feels so good to be back in the land of laksa and unpredictable weather. But wait, plot twist! While I was chilling at the airport waiting for my flight (a very rare moment of peace), I spontaneously bought a ticket to JB! Yes, I’ll be flying out again on 20 June 2025. That gives me exactly 25 days in Kuching—so I must use them wisely. Like, full-on "main character energy" kind of wisely.

And guess what? I’ve already achieved something today. I know, who is she?

I’d been thinking about going to the dentist (because adulthood is just paying bills and fixing teeth), so I did some CSI-level investigation on xhs. The top-rated place? Artooth Dental Clinic—which sounds like a mix between a Renaissance artist and a molar. I slid into their WhatsApp DMs to ask about the price and whether they had any available slots. It was already 12:45 PM, and they said, “Yes, we have a slot at 2 PM.” I was like—say less. I got my dad to drive me there like it was a medical emergency.

And boom! X-ray done, and finally—I got rid of that tragic black filling I’ve had since primary school. It was basically a fossil. I swapped it out for a white filling, and honestly, it’s life-changing. I mean, imagine: a beautiful white smile with one suspicious black dot in the middle. It looked like my tooth had a secret.

But wait, the productivity didn’t stop there. I also tackled a major project today: trimming my baby dog’s fur. I swear I shaved off at least 0.5 kg of fluff. He instantly turned into a baby deer with long legs and confused energy. So fragile. So majestic. So unintentionally hilarious.

Anyway, day one of Kuching life: 10/10 productive. Let’s see if I can keep this streak going. Or at least, not turn into a couch potato.
