Forkfuls of Happiness
It’s the first day of 2025! New year, new me, right? Except… classic me stayed at home all day. But hey, instead of lounging in bed like a hibernating bear, I actually cleaned my room! Shocking, I know. I even leveled up my game: I washed my bedsheet, sprayed Febreeze like I was performing an exorcism on germs, and gave my two pillows a luxurious sunbath to sterilize them. Who’s this productive human?
Oh, and here’s the funniest thing I did today. Lately, I’ve been struggling with eating—well, more like struggling to not eat everything in sight because, you know, slim down goals. I’ve been craving random foods at random times like some sort of culinary lottery. So, in my quest for self-control, I turned to XHS (my trusty app for life hacks) and searched for ways to suppress food cravings. Guess what? I rediscovered a trick that’s so silly it might as well come with clown music: watching mukbang videos.
Yup, I just sat there watching other people feast like kings while I… sipped water. Surprisingly, it worked for me a few years ago, so I thought, why not? I’m a big fan of Kinoshita Yuka. She’s like the OG mukbang queen who started filming herself eating massive amounts of food even before the word "mukbang" became trendy. Honestly, if watching someone devour an entire feast helps me ignore my fridge, it’s a win.
I tried watching other YouTubers, but honestly, I couldn’t stick with them. Their eating style felt too... commercialized? Is that the right word? I’m not sure, but it’s like they’re more focused on getting views than actually enjoying their food. Meanwhile, Kinoshita-san feels like the real deal. She’s one of the few who genuinely gets excited about what she’s about to eat. You can practically see her thinking, “This bite is going to change my life!” And the best part? She always finished her food.
What I love most about her videos is the happy vibe she brings. It’s like you’re not just watching someone eat; you’re joining a cheerful little food party. But I know she’s been going through some challenges lately, and her uploads have become less frequent. As a fan, I just hope she’s taking care of herself because, let’s be real, health is the ultimate treasure.
So, to Kinoshita-san: Thank you for all the joy your videos have brought over the years. You’ve made eating look like an art form. I hope you continue doing what you love, eating what you enjoy, and staying healthy and happy. Your fans (including me!) are always cheering for you!
This is her eating Malaysia famous's noodle, Maggi Curry.
