MC Chronicles

Okay, y’all can tell my planned MC is working because I’m currently chilling at home and writing this blog post—HAHAHA. I got a two-day MC (medical leave, for those who don’t know!), but it’s legit because I’ve been dealing with this nagging headache for the past few days. Anyway, I need to speed-write this because I’ve got to leave the house by 12:30 PM to catch the train at Woodlands MRT and meet my friends for a JB trip.

So, after my clinic visit, I managed to meet up with my brother, who’s studying at NTU. He was free (for once), so we had lunch together—how rare, right? We met at Don Don Donki because I had to grab some Pocky chocolate for my sister. While I was there, I suddenly thought of my ex-colleague, V who used to spoil me with snacks when I worked at my old company. Naturally, I had to get him a box of KitKats! I wanted to buy more gifts, but time was ticking, so maybe next time.

For lunch, we hit up the Japanese street at Jurong Point and had ramen. And let me tell you—EXPENSIVE. Including GST and service tax, our meal totaled SGD 41.97. Like, what even is the “service”? They just brought our ramen to the table and cleaned up after. We had to order through an app ourselves! But, okay, the food was still decent. I had the Torotama KIOU Ramen, and my brother went for the Deluxe Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen. Low-key, though? They tasted the same to me.

I got the set meal, so mine came with gyoza and iced ocha (green tea). The meal itself was solid, and since we went during non-peak hours, the atmosphere was pretty chill.

Alright, that’s all the tea for today! I’ll catch y’all in a few days—ciao!

yums!
