Dumplings, Drama, and Disaster
Lunch: 15.60 SGD
I stayed at home the entire day today—AND IT WAS AMAZING! No one watching me, no one judging me, just me talking to myself like a certified lunatic. Pure bliss. I also spent the day binge-watching the new Chinese drama 爱你, and let me just say—Zhang Ling He is dangerously handsome. Like, sir, please calm down. On top of that, he’s ridiculously good at chasing the female lead—peak 绿茶男 energy (but in a good way, of course).

For lunch, I finally satisfied my dumpling cravings! I ordered from my all-time favorite restaurant, Si Chuan Chef at Boon Lay MRT. Been dreaming about dumplings for weeks, and today was the day. The only downside? GrabFood’s daylight robbery pricing. I paid 15.60 SGD for dumplings, pork, and broccoli—aka the cost of six whole days of lunch at my company’s cafeteria. My wallet is in shambles. Thoughts and prayers.
Dinner was… minimalistic. Just a dragon fruit and a pear. Why? Because my fridge has officially entered survival mode. The only things left are four eggs, which are strictly reserved for breakfast. Translation: Tomorrow, I must venture into the outside world and do some grocery shopping at NTUC. Yay for fresh air and vitamin D, I guess.
And now for today’s grand tragedy: laundry. I hung my clothes out, expecting them to be dry by evening. But Mother Nature said, “Haha, plot twist.” While I was deeply engrossed in my drama, the sky decided to open up, and my poor clothes got a free rain shower. By the time I realized what was happening, they had already been getting passionate kisses from the rain for a solid few minutes. Had to rush them inside for an emergency drying session. Thankfully, they survived and dried up before nightfall. Crisis averted.
