Hair Growth Dreams
I can’t believe the dessert I just had was more expensive than my dinner. I mean, at this point, am I eating food or investing in it?
For dinner, I had a noodle dish called Yi Mian at Malaysia Boleh! in Jurong Point. Personally, I think Yi Mian cooked in a claypot is the best version ever. But honestly, as long as it’s in the form of noodles, I will consume it all. That’s how much of a noodle addict—I mean, lover—I am.
For dessert, I had Black Sesame Soup with Tang Yuan. Apparently, black sesame is said to help make your hair black again or even promote hair growth. So, I am now secretly hoping that after this tiny bowl of black sesame soup, I will wake up tomorrow with some extra hair. Maybe even a whole new hairline. Fingers crossed.
Work today was so busy—so busy that I didn’t even have time to think about resigning. Imagine that! But anyway, some updates: I’ve decided to hand in my resignation on April 21, 2025. With a one-month notice period, I’ll be staying in Singapore until the end of May. Probably heading back home first to relax and heal—both physically and mentally.
The hardest part? Telling my landlord about my plan to resign and end my rental contract early. This might cost me my security deposit, which is a painful 850 SGD. But honestly, I just can’t endure my company anymore.
The weird thing I’ve noticed recently is that my feelings about this job are like a malfunctioning roller coaster. Some days, I absolutely hate it. Other days, I think, “Eh, it’s not that bad.” But let’s be real—the bad days outnumber the good ones. And I’ve realized something: the bad times almost always involve human beings. The good times? Those are when I’m alone or with people not related to my work.
As long as work is involved, I doubt relationships can stay smooth—unless both people are really good at handling their stuff. That’s why I think I can never work with friends. I already have a very good temper, but sometimes, people just make me want to scream into the void. Or, you know, accidentally delete their files.
