The Snoopy Smuggle

I'm back after three days of holiday! And guess what? No Monday blues for me—because I'm off again tomorrow! Ahhhhh! Life is chef’s kiss when you're not doing things you don’t like. Honestly, I hope everyone gets to do what they truly love.

For the past three days, we didn’t do much—just chilling at home and going out for some good ol’ food hunting. I did say I was going for a minimalist lifestyle, but then my impulsive brain went, "Nah, let’s make it interesting!" So, I ended up buying a fake Snoopy on Shopee. And because I love creating unnecessary obstacles for myself, I got it delivered to my friend's house in JB.

Fast forward to this week—I finally made it to JB and met my new plush son. This guy is 40cm long… or tall? (Hard to say because he’s sitting down). At first, I was like, "Okay, finally got myself a Snoopy plush, even if it’s not from an official store." But the more I stared at him, the cuter he became. Now, he just chills on my bed—or, well, lies down—because I smuggled him legally from Malaysia to Singapore.

“How did you protect Snoopy from the horrors of outside air?” you ask. Well, simple—I accidentally bought a 28-inch suitcase on Saturday. It’s so big that if I folded myself in half, I could probably fit inside. So, naturally, Snoopy got first-class treatment inside the suitcase, and I heroically dragged him all the way from JB CIQ to my room in Singapore. Long journey, but surprisingly smooth.

Today was Hari Raya, but weirdly enough, JB wasn’t packed when we went in on Friday. However, coming back today? Oh boy. It was chaos. This was probably the longest I’ve ever waited at customs. The biggest bottleneck? The bus waiting area. We stood there for a solid 45 minutes just waiting for the bus at JB customs. But hey, after crossing the border so many times, I’m starting to get used to the pattern. No matter how long you wait, you’ll eventually get where you need to go. You just have to be patient. (And maybe bring a 28-inch suitcase to sit on while you wait.)
