Life Realizations

GUYS, it's finally Thursday, which means tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! 🎉🎉 I can't wait to go to JB! Sure, half of Singapore is probably planning the same escape since it's a long weekend, but nothing—NOTHING—can stop my passion for going back to Malaysia for a well-deserved holiday!

That being said, I can already imagine the absolute chaos that awaits me tomorrow night. The traffic, the queues, the collective suffering... But hey, it’s all part of the experience, right? I did consider taking a day off next Tuesday so I could peacefully return after the crowd disperses. Genius plan, I know. Unfortunately, my friend doesn’t have enough leave, so she has to come back on Monday. And since I'm a loyal friend (or maybe just a victim of peer pressure), I’ll be dragging myself back to Singapore on Monday too.

Speaking of decisions, have I ever mentioned how, once I make up my mind, everything suddenly becomes clear and smooth? It hit me today—when you know exactly where you're going, things just... fall into place. Most people prioritize stability over freedom, and I get it. Stability feels safe, predictable, and comfortable. But, uh... I guess I’m not “most people.” Stability bores me. There’s so much more to life than just buying a house and starting a family. The Earth has existed for 4.5 billion years, and according to my good friend Google, the average human lifespan is only 73 years. Do you realize how ridiculously short that is?! And we don’t even know how long we actually have! People leave this world in unexpected ways all the time—accidents, illnesses, you name it.

My mom always says, "Time waits for no one. Appreciate what you have and do what makes you happy." And honestly? I think I’ve been living by that philosophy. (Thanks, Mom! Even though you’re constantly worried about my plans). But at the end of the day, it’s my life. I get to decide how to live it. As long as I’m alive, breathing, and healthy, there’s nothing I can’t do. The world is full of possibilities, and there’s always a way to build the life you want. Just gotta keep praying and trusting that God will lead me down the right path.
